The 2-day Essential Wilderness Survival Course teaches students the basics of survival. This class is designed to develop the skills needed to survive a 72-hour emergency situation. There are two days of instruction with an optional third day to enjoy yourself around camp. Unaccustomed to using our sight, hearing, and smell, to build a mental map we easily can get lost in the woods. 1-day or 2-days. Spend time with an expert guide as you hike in the National Forest, explore the native landscape, learn primitive fishing skills at our pond, and how to harvest food from the wild. Eat a meal over a fire you started from a single spark. Cost includes meals.

2-Day Adventures includes an evening campfire where you’ll listen to wilderness survival stories and learn a bushcraft skill.

This course is great for newcomers to the survival and bushcraft community, as well as experienced individuals looking to truly test their skills in a safe setting.  More Information

Trail Blazer Survival School will be offering an edible plants class at its Union, SC campground location. Dan Whitten, former president of the South Carolina Native Plant Society will teach participants how to find, identify, and the use of native SC plants found during a wood walk.  The class will begin at 10:00 and end 2:00. This course will be very interactive and informative including hands on instruction with the wild plants that grow on Trail Blazer's property.  For those in the Greenville/ Simpsonville area who wish to take a shuttle to the union camp select "shuttle" under products during check out. The shuttle will depart from our Simpsonville office location (205 Batesville Rd., Suite 2 Simpsonville, SC 29681) at 8:30a.m. and return at 3:30p.m.

Class begins at 10:00 AM at Trail Blazer's Union Campground located at 1103 Jeter Cemetery Road Union, SC 29379
