Why hike the Appalachian Trail? Whether it is to heal a broken heart, the physical challenge, to be in nature, or to stay off the grid you can join Trail Blazer Survival School as we hike sections of the Appalachian Trail in 2020. Each week two certified WFR instructors will hike with a group into the misty, cool Appalachian Mountains averaging 50 miles per week. We will be there to assist your hike, providing you support until you are ready to go it alone (up to 10 weeks). Trail Blazer Survival School will provide you with a quality sleeping bag, tent, and backpack so you don't have to worry about the big ticket items, as well as, consultation before the hike to get you prepped and ready for the trail. We will plan your hike and provide your most essential gear so you can focus on enjoying the experience. If you plan to hike the Appalachian trail alone consider taking the Trail Blazer Shuttle Service. Avoid the hassle of finding a place to leave your vehicle or paying outrageous prices to get a ride. We will pick you up from your home, the GSP airport, or our offices and drop you at your choice of Amicalola Falls State Park or Springer Mountain. Looking for more hikes? Appalachian Trail Section Hikes Cancellation Policy
When you book an event with Trail Blazer Survival School & Adventures, it is our commitment to hold a space for you and possibly turn others away from that particular event. With this in mind, please understand that we must be firm in adhering to our refund/credit cancellation policy. If you find it necessary to cancel your scheduled section hike, please notify us as soon as possible.
Please note below that our Section Hikes policies are different than our normal class and course policies
To hold your reservation, we currently require payment in advance. We do accept cash and credit cards
- All Cancellations are subject to a $50 registration cancellation fee or receive 100% credit toward another section hike.
- Cancellations 29 days to 7 days prior to section hike date – $100.00 cancellation fee or receive 100% credit toward another section hike.
- Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the section hike date or NO SHOW on day of the section hike or missing days of the section hike – No Refund
- If a multiple section hike purchase discount was given and you cancel one or more of the section hikes, the discount no longer applies and any refund will be given based on payment of full base price of section hikes you have already taken advantage of .
*Please note that the price of each hike includes planning, consultation, shuttle service and the gear provided. The services we provide are free when on state or federal land.
